2025 so Far

2025 so Far

“Renleyyy!”

October

My Wednesday TTRPG group is on its next rotation, and we’ve finally cycled back to Chaos Crew! I wanted to get a new iteration of Magran in here, but it really was not going well so I ended up drawing Renley, Isaiah’s little fox cleric.

This started with smiling sortof expression, but then I realized it looked like he was having a caniption, and leaned fully into it. Renley is a very stressable boy.

“Jackalopes Ate my Lunch Money“

September

So Uuh… I started an etsy shop! This was the second listing, but the first to be created with merch in mind. As of posting this, it’s available as a sticker and a round mouse pad.

I enjoyed seeing this idea evolve! It went from, “I’ve never drawn a hare before“ to .. this derranged creature. It was honestly very fun, and I got to flex the “fill in the details” muscle.

“Get Pickled, Idiot”

Bog Bodies on Spotify

September

This started out as just a quick warm up, but I ended up really liking this design, enough that I’m probably going to find an etsy listing and get stickers made for myself, haha. Maybe a shirt, I honestly don’t know which one. Am I the kind of person that would get a sticker of their own creation? Yeah, my Emotional Support Water Bottle is covered in other artists’ work, some of which I have an emotional attachment to! ….. But am I the person in the room wearing their own merch?? NOPE. Nope nope nope. No. I am not them.

This was inspired mostly by a thought path that just.. slowly drifted away from Rabbitology’s “Bog Bodies - Dorm Demo“ song. I’ll link in on a button below. I swear this idea isn’t that deep but the song is, and thinking/avoiding thinking about the lyrics led to thinking about actual bog bodies in archeology, and then I had to look up if Swamps or Bogs are the acidic kind, and then double check that vinegar is also acidic, because they have to be the same for pickles and bog bodies to get preserved… Yeah. We got a pickled idiot heart now.

“Eeb 2.0“

August

Randal gave Edith a new outfit in-game, so he asked me to draw her again. I don’t think I got the hands quite right, but they still turned out better than sometiomes, so .. prgress?

“August 2025 Self Portrait“

It’s exactly what it says on the tin. Also, my new disocrd icon— but other than that, exactly what’s on the tin.

“New Word Unlocked“

July

This isn’t canon to Chaos Crew (yet), but Jam will inevitably learn what a slur is. We have a lot of fey creatures in our party, so there’s no shortage of fantasy racism. Another discord emoji in the bag.

On another note, Jam is so fun to shade.

“Moss“

July

My second(and unfortunately last) Artfight attack this year.

I honestly love how this turned out, this character was such a fun exercise in organic shapes and dark colors.

“Bug!!“

July

My first Artfight entry of the year! Unfortunately team Fossils lost this year, but I had a blast with this little birb lad.

“Karen Jaunt“

June

Yeezus June really was a productive month for me. This was my first attempt at a PaperDemon Character. It’s an Art/Writing RPG game, where everything you do is finalized with art or writing. I regrettably haven’t done a ton with them yet, but I want to remedy that. Anyway, She’s the one who said He said no pickles.

Karen is an anthropromorphic rain frog that is ironically and unironically a karen.

“Jam’s favorite Word“

June

We(Cris) keep a count of how many times Jam as said the word F*ck. This was for his birthday.

Being serious for just a moment, I do really love how the shading came out on this. I rarely am happy with glow effects, but this one turned out okay.

“No Talk Me I Angy but make it jam“

So.. This was based on a meme and was mostly to make the meme into an emoji of Jam on our Chaos Crew discord server. Jam is so dumb, and we love her for it. Cris plays this smol barely sentient ball of goop in the same campaign as I play Magran.

“Livi’s B-day“

June

A birthday gift for my sister, Olivia! Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time had come out a short while before this, so I asked her for screenshots of her character.

“Hot Potato Good Boy“

June

It’s a wild Culio! One of my friends has a habit of collecting all of the Little Guys he can get his grubby little hands on in every freakin’ campain, and it’s very safe to say I’ve deliberatly fed into that in my d&d game.

Culio is a Lava Dog pup, so he’s not only completely fire proof but he was, in fact, born in lava. Lava Dogs are a homebrew creature based on a few different ideas.

Currently in campaign Jame’s character Merv has Culio and a gaggle of Kobolds staying at an NPC ally’s home. Culio has burned little hot pawprints into the poor lady’s wooden floors, and he sleeps in the woodburning stove.

He eats rocks.

“Missing Magran“

June

A little graphic design for the backstory for my harengon d&d character, Magran. She ran away from home 5 years before the start of the campaign, and within hours of leaving port her ship got hijacked by pirates, and she became one of them. Fast forward to present day campaign, and whoopdeedoo, we’ve set sail for Pearl Orchard, her home shire-esq island. This flier is actually something she’s had the whole campaign so far, and the party didn’t know. Well, now they do!

“Edith v2“

June

Mild Edith redesign? I wasn’t entirely happy with how the original image turned out, so of course I made another drawing of her.

“Edith Allison Finch”

May

Oh boy, it’s the previously-mentioned gal! This was the first rendition of Edith, my boyrfriend Randal’s character in a CAIN campaign. She is absolutely psychotic, and Snookie, the horrifying “doberman“ I’ve drawn before this is her bound sin.

She recently got a redesign though, and that’s coming soon if it hasn’t dropped already.

“Jito“

May

A Genie tailor in my friend Zach’s Spelljammer campaign. He’s a fabulous drama king that I was paid to draw.

I love how all of the detail came out on this! I had so much fun.

“WrongDog“

May

So ….. Snookie, in all his horrible terrible awful flesheating gory glory. I had SO much fun drawing this, It’s been a long time since I got to really let loose and just draw something horrificly menacing.

Also, Background practice again! I never want to draw bricks. Never again do I want to draw bricks. No. Just no. I spent almost 3 hours doing the lines on them just to hate them.

“Pretty Little Snookie-Doo“

April

This was an anticipated moment between two characters in a CAIN Campaign my boyfriend is in with a few friends. Red wanted their character to suggest to Randal’s character that they should put makeup on Snookie.

I should mention the absolutely madman of a DM (Cris) decided to play out all of the Player Characrter’s origin stories of how they got to the CAIN Facility.. an awesome idea, but it did take about 100 hours of his to do get the whole crew in, and that was over about.. 2 months, maybe? This took place somewhere in the overlap between Alias (Red’s character) and Edith (Randal’s character)’s backstories. Both characters got to the facility much much earlier than the rest of the crew, so a good portion of their flashback time was spent together, just growing up and doing deranged little kid things. Y’know, ike putting makeup on your maleable eldritch demon dog.

“Give us a smile!“

May

My first rendition of Snookie, my boyfriend’s character’s “dog” in a CAIN campaign. There’s more of both Edith (The character) and this horrible creature.

I did get a few things wrong in this, and a couple other design bits changed after Snookie’s existance was made canon in the game. For one, I personally just don’t like how I did the eyes. His colors are darker and more cinnamon-bloody-red. And his teeth (when in this more disturbing form) are actually knives… no no, not knife like. Just… steak knives. You’ll see, this gets corrected in a later piece that I am very, very proud of.

Untitled Warmup

April

This was super simple, just some backrgound practice to get my brain going on a day I was feeling creative but not quite awake enough to really go at it.

“Egg Salad Grant“

March

So this one started as a throwaway joke and a friend of mine, Cris, said something to the effect of, “I would pay money to have that drawn“ and I looked this man in the eyes and said, “I take commissions“.

… Honestly I do not remember what he actual joke started as, but this was the punchline: A golem made of egg salad, with a low-quality doodle of Grant, a mutual friend’s face halphazardly taped over its face. I had fun with the leek bones.

“Pirate Flag”

March

A quick, simple commission for my friend Zach. This was meant to be a simple design featuring a meditating Hadozee (A monkey-like race in D&d) with its tail spiraled into the background. I don’t honestly remember if the sunrise was my idea or his idea, but I like how it turned out.

“Harold & Patricia”

February

This was meant to be a quick maybe 10 minute sketch that quickly turned into a bit more. The prompt I came up with was “Nervous Geese“, and I just kinda ran with it. Somewhere along the way a simple prompt turned into a three-eyed, two-headed demon goose. One has rage and the other and dissociates easily.

“Fancy Ch’aska"

February

My Medtech, Ch’aska, needed a fancy outfit so our party could sneak into a club to get our new guy’s stuff back. So.. Naturally, I had to draw the new outfit, complete with shiny jewelry and neon stitching!

More about Ch'aska...

“Vaguely a Skull“

“Over the Rainbow Bridge“

January

This was a quick piece for a friend who’d lost her dog barely a week prior. I feel that words aren’t always as sincere as they need to be, sometimes there just aren’t enough words in the english laguage to truly convey the depth of an emotion. And if I can get close, I tend to tresspass dangerously close to rambling long before my goal.

Rest in peace, little dog.

January

I have a ceramic skull bowl on my desk that I keep d20s in for Dungeons & Dragons game sessions. It sits right underneath my second moitor, and contains only the dice that won’t break when launched from my little dice crossbow. It’s really not that powerful since it’s meant for this exact purpose (AKA it’s a dice launcher)… But I don’t want to break my pretty dice. Plus, I love my dice, we don’t abuse our dice in this house, that’s where the bad luck comes from.

I keep my drawing stylus in the little hole between the jaw and eyeball bones (I don’t remember the name at the moment), and on this particular day I just needed something small to doodle and get used to using anything except the default simple brush. It was a fun exercise! Unfortunately the glass rose does not rest in the same slot anymore. It needs to be repaired, and I’m afraid It’ll break again if I put it back where it was.
